The global chain convenience stores, coffee shops, sandwich joints, etc that are staples on practically every college campus in America are absent here. Instead you’ll find local family-owned businesses like Mr Food Convenience Store, DeTurk Hardware, & Mark’s Subs. These and others were there in the 70s and are still going strong.
