Tidal Basin Cherry Grove •

Every Spring I am asked about paintings of the cherry blossoms. I have never done a painting of the cherry blossoms and doubt if I ever will. They produce an exuberant and over-the-top display and at the end if it all, no fruit. It does seem to be an ideal metaphor for politics, all talk, no action! I do however love the cherry grove when the trees offer respite from Summer heat on the banks of the Tidal Basin.
