The Flats

This painting is done in Transparent Watercolor on 300gsm Rough Finish Fabriano Artistico Watercolor Paper. The finished painting is layered with 4 coats of Mineral Spirit Varnish with a UV protection level equivalent to museum glass. On top of the varnish is a finish coat of Renaissance Wax, an archival product developed by the British Museum to preserve their delicate artifacts. The finished painting is framed in wood with a linen liner without glass. It is fully protected from moisture and light damage.
