Morning Calm, Lowells Cove ●

I’m honored and grateful to extraordinary watercolor artist Joseph Zbukvic who nominated me for the Fabriano Watercolour Biennial International Prize 2026. Joseph was the Prize Winner in 2022. The Prize is sponsored by the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana (Museum of Paper and Watermarks) in the famous paper making town of Fabriano ITALY. The Prize brings together 60 artists from around the world, with 15 international judges each nominating four painters. My submission, “Quiet Morning, Lowells Cove, Harpswell” was based on several plein air studies from a place that is dear to me, and the first place I visited in Maine, well over 30 years ago.
