City Hall, Philadelphia

$35.00$80.00

City Hall, Philadelphia was exhibited in the American Watercolor Society’s 150th Annual Exhibtion in NYC. It also received the Best Watercolor Award in the August/September Plein Air Magazine's Salon Competition.

This Second Empire style building with its statue of William Penn atop, was the maximum allowable height for buildings in Philadelphia until 1984 when the height limit was removed. Today glass and steel skyscrapers dwarf this building in height, but no other building matches the exuberant style and detail of this marble, granite and limestone gem.
