Madrid in the Age of Kodachrome

$35.00$80.00

My Dad took a Kodachrome slide of this scene in Madrid in the early 1950s when he was stationed in Europe with the Air Force. He would have never admitted to having artistic inclinations, but I remember him telling me that “you have to compose a picture.” He was referring to the fact that taking photos was expensive and you didn’t take many, so you had to make each one count. I’ve always loved this particular view, and doing a painting based on it has been in the back of my mind for years.
