I'm especially pleased with the result of this small and quickly done watercolor. It captures a complex view of a detailed bandstand, formal public gardens and statuary, all in the full noontime sun, with a minimum of effort. I strive for this kind of economy in most paintings, but seldom succeed to this degree.
